Apparently being good in an emergency is a sign of autism now, including every paramedic and ER nurse/doctor (etc.) without fail. I think the lines are blurred between traits of different personality types (from the healthy and well-regulated to the more extreme) and what’s actually divergent from a neurodevelopmental point of view. “Highly sensitive female” is becoming code for a major reason why autism’s under-diagnosed in women and girls, and soon every quirk or just-plain trait under the sun is going to be considered on the spectrum.

Who is it who’s actually diagnosing all these people with autism, you’ve got to wonder?

It’s like battle and survival of the most aptly sensorial, stereotypical “neurotypicals” at this point. Rob. Kazinsky (Sean Slater) is another one who’s bitten the dust and joined the autism camp. It’ll be Demi Lovato next. Everyone wants to be autistic these days.
