Magic has jumped in to where I was going. If there are no bins near where you live, you are by your own admission near where you live. No need to do a 6 mile trip to find a bin. Take it home with you.

I didn't mean that, but surely you managed to "trex" six miles from your house, can you not walk back with the litter?

I know its you, but you are typing in a diffrent style today, eg, lots of caps, now then, etc.

And why? Because you should want to protect the enviroment!

You've not to worry about KizWiz and Magic. If I were you I'd be more concerned about whether the police or community support officers see you - and for the sake of cleanliness and hygiene, I hope to god they do see you.
Now then Lauren I am not the only one who drops litter, but I have a right to. I bet the police themselves even drop litter as the lack of bins.
Where exactly did you grasp the concept that people have a right to drop litter?

Quite the opposite. It's illegal.

Pride in where I live? You try living in my area. Me trying to "save the area" is not going to trigger everybody else into doing the same, I know it's a scruffy thing to drop litter but the area is not going to change because the people in the area are not going to change so therefore, there is no point in me doing it. Yes, it's lazy, it's boneidle, it's scruffy, all of which I'm aware of and I know it shouldn't be done, and I wouldn't dream of doing it an area that was half decent but my area ... you are wondering when the next shooting will be, not the next snicker wrapper being threw.

And Magic, telling people what to do and talking down to them is not going to make them go all environmentally friendly.
Legend you are a Legend, I agree 100%

I'm really quite baffled that your whole argument centres around 'ew'. You eat out of something and are too lazy to abide to law in finding a bin. The 'ew' and 'filthy' thing, is throwing it on the ground and attracting rats. Thats what is disgusting.

And just because everyone else treats it like a mess, you can too? I live in an equally messy environment (since there's seagulls and chip-shops everywhere (a deadly combination ), that doesn't help) but it doesn't ask much to put your sweet-wrapper in your pocket until you come to the next bin or something.

On a general point - I don't understand the argument that there's few bins everywhere. This may be because down here there's more than other places, but I find that hard to grasp...

Honestly? Yes. Why should I treat the area any better than the people who live in it? I don't purposely set out to drop some litter ... I hardly keep a tally of how many wrappers I throw to try and beat it weekly, but I do throw wrappers if there is no bin in sight because everybody else does, my wrapper won't make a difference as the area is a $hit hole as it is.

You wouldn't use it. You would require one to be put every 2 meters for it to be convenient for you.

I manage fine and there's hardly a plethora of bins in my area, I'm guessing thats because I'm not lazy and opposed to rat infestations.

Woo to Lauren!

In my village their are no bins at all, but I still keep any rubbish I have on me, to put in to a bin. Admittedly because of the lack of Bins alongside the fields the rubbish has increased, but this is all through people throwing rubbish out their windows.
