I think if Rex left with her it would be a bit pointless, he managed 8 weeks without her so why bother? There's only 4/5 weeks left anyway.

The guy makes no sense. He was without her for 8 weeks and she's only been in there for about 6 days, so therefore he could go without her for another 4 weeks depending if he's there to the end.
