Of course it was nothing to do with competition/slot and they haven't had similar things happen in the past and recovered have they?
Not much, no. 1.9m for an eviction show is hideous, no matter what the competition.
Nice how you completely disregard the time slot, and that this has happened in the past (although not to this extent). If it was 10-11pm and managed that figure then that would be beyond bad, but because it finished close to midnight, its just bad.

Who put it in that time slot? Me? No, the clueless muppets who seem determined to kill off BB mid-series with their inexplicable incompetence.

Anyways, predictions for tonight, Monday usually is also quite a low night for BB, and Tues-Thurs are the days where BB gets the highest.

At this point, i guess 3m would be seen as a sucess, and Friday got 3.0m (which in officials will bring it to 3.3m-3.4m which would be the series average of CBB6, so if BB10 averages 3-3.3m it wil be seen as a sucess)

Monday- 2.7m (in BB9 Mondays were getting 2.8-3.2m so 2.7 wouldnt be bad)
Tuesday- 3.1m (have a feeling it will break the 3m barrier)

I predict 2.3-2.5m for tonight including C4+1. Another shambolic rating, just watch.

Make your mind up, you're contradicting yourself. Now its incompetence to put it on at 10pm, but the post before it didn't have much to do with it.

Having to re-adjust my numbers downwards here so I'll guess at 2.1m inc +1 for monday. Any less and BB is a write off.

Im going to be brave and guess 2.7m. I will be very shocked if it breaks 3m. The only days i think it could have a chance to break 3m is Tues, Weds and Thursday,

2.7m would be a good figure at this stage I think, all they need to do is stabalise it then build on it. In BB9 all Mondays fell somewhere between 2.7m and 3.3m. I know theres the argument that the first week rates better but maybe we've hit the rocks so to speak which most series' never do until about 2 weeks in. This series could buck the trend I suppose. We'll soon see. Anyway some comparative daily figures from last year:

Monday- 2.7m-3.3m
Tuesday- 3.3m-3.6m ... 3.8m with special show (Tuesday had a strong lead in I think but I've forgotten what)
Wednesday- 3m-3.7 (that got shifted mid series I think theres a jump in the middle)
Thursday- 3.2m-3.6m ... Alex ejection 4.3m, launch 5.4m
Friday 1- 3.3m-4m ... 4.2m final
Friday 2- 2.7m-3.8m ... 4.9m final (surprisingly all eviction interviews 3-4m officially)
Saturday- 2m-2.9m
Sunday- 2.7m-3.6m

So if each day this week they can get in the lower end of each daily range then it isn't quite as over as we think ... theres a lot of time to improve (and it can) and the live feed will probably be back as well

Only 2.0 million last night

Tom, I think you now have to admit BB without live feed is a disaster. 1.3 million down from first BB9 Monday show. The programme is a total shambles.

The 10pm timeslot has done it for me. I have to be up at 6am every morning and need to go to bed at 10pm.

TBH I think C4 might have been waiting to see what last nights figures held before committing themselves to the agreement they'd made "IN PRINCIPLE" with Endemol via the meeting.

If this is the case, then it actually looks like this could be good news for us BB Fans.

I heard about that too, appatrently about 1 million viewers were lost because of that

Its laughable at the excuses made, its always something to do with competition. The thing is there was NO competition last night, even if there was, the competition in BB1-BB7 would have been scared of BB.

Rememebr Soccor Aid during BB7, it was getting about 4.8m nightly while BB was getting 5m+. Just imagine if that was on now. I would dread to think

Actually 1.97m (don't give them the satisfaction of even claiming 2 million LOL). Not up against the Apprentice. No excuses. BBUK is failing fast. 1.5 million even quicker than I originally predicted at this rate. Course, it's nothing to do with the lack of LF....

Oh yeah and before anyone comes in here and tell me, its a normal drop of from year to year, BB9 first monday was:

Monday 9th June
22.00- Big Brother: 3.3m

And I remember people being dissappointed then.

Thats more than a 40% dropoff, so go ahead apologists, explain away, how the LF has no impact whatsoever.

Exactly, also the officials pushed that rating to 3.8m i think (500,000 up) so if the same happens to last night, then the official from last night will be about 2.5m.
