Yeah, it gets a lot better once you get yourself into a Free Company. Having someone to run through dungeons and other **** with is always great.

Sooooo tempted to give this a shot. what's it like on the PS? never could really get a hang of MMOs on consoles in the past tbh

It uses hotkeys on L2 and R2. It's perfect. Everyone I know who plays on PC prefers using a controller for it, even.

As in ... the menu system it works on to use attacks is all instant on those two buttons. Hold R2, swipe right for whatever you assigned there etc. I've never experienced button congestion thus far.

I like the 2 second global cooldown on actions too, some MMO people say that it makes combat slower, but I find it better since you don't have to spam buttons.

They're adding Sastasha (Hard Mode), The Sunken Temple of Qarn (Hard Mode) and a new dungeon called "Snowcloak"

Not to mention the biggest 2.4 update


Also, the Final Coil of Bahamut will be opening.

Snowcloak will be a dungeon located in the ice wall in Coerthas.

Rogue wont be a starting class, but you can learn it from level 10.

The "Eternal Bond" system will be added in 2.45, and will unlock a special chocobo.

Lower level dungeons may become possible to solo.

I finished the story last night and I'm now a Level 50 WHM and BLM. I'm trying to do the Relic Weapon quest at the moment but I can't find the WHM weapon in O'Ghommoro.

The relic weapon quest goes on for a long while, I've only just got my Animus weapon.



It's worth saving up myth tomes to get higher level armour from Rowena's store by the entrance to Revenant's Toll, its the stone stall in this pic



The main story improves after the ending of the 2.0 main scenario too, though "A Realm Awoken" (2.1) isn't as good as "Through the Maelstrom" (2.2) and "Defenders of Eorzea" (2.3). 2.1's main story makes you do some old content, where as the others don't lol.

I'm working on my Novus relic weapon now, basically you infuse a hell of a lot of materia onto a scroll, and to do so, you need Alexandrite which you can get from daily treasure maps.

I got my Relic Weapon and I've started on the Stardust Rod now. I've also used my Fantasia potion.

I think I'm gonna remain an Elezen myself, lol. Looking forward to being able to get some new armour in 2.4, as my current robes look a little odd.

Ah cool. Managed to get my BLM Relic now. I want to get Scholar to Level 50 and get that relic and then I'll get started on the Zeniths I think.

If I recall, the zenith is pretty easy, getting the atma is hard, lol.

Just as a general reminder, the free update from PS3 to PS4 ends at the end of December, after that, you wont be able to upgrade for free.
