From the social experiment era I'd recommend BB3, that's the best from that era.

Hijack was nothing special so you won't miss anything. I first watched it 2 years ago and there were only 3-4 entertaining housemates. Not to mention Hijack started the whole Pass to the final twist.

The thing about BB9 is, I don’t think there’s a main stand out housemate that I’ve heard of, like BB6 Makosi, BB7 Nikki, BB8 Charley, so I’d be going in without any expectations of anyone. Which is a good thing!

That's because most of the stand-out housemates in BB9 are terrible or at the very least sub-par housemates imo, only exception being Michael (and Sara too if we're going by the rule of '5 main characters per series)

Both have 4 bordering on 5 big characters so I don't think it's a contest, but BB5 is better statistically for having 5 in a much smaller cast.

Whenever I think back on BB10, it felt there was like 30 people at once
