worry it might go up again since stores will be allowed for pick ups again why why why

compared to australia whom got 1 case and entire lockdown procedures ongoing (at least they are doing good at being very careful)

why can't we just remain in a hard lockdown until we got no cases for a long while, ugh my government & rivm decisions sometimes so dumb

We have a friend who's had long covid , he's just told us that he is now allergic to vitamin D and Ibuprofen and was not before, this virus seems to leave very strange side effects !

I actually don't mind him at present.

I think he presents in a way that's more genuine recently.

I won't forget his wrongs all through up to recently obviously, however his last 2 press conferences have seen him be both more compassionate and more open too.

I'd rather hear from him than the the 100% false Johnson.

How confident are you you can contain the South African variant, Mr Hancock?
Emily Morgan from ITV asks the next question.

The health secretary says it's "on all of us" to contain the new variant.
He adds lockdown should help "bring down the number of cases of
the new variant", with surge testing and enhanced contact tracing
also used to stop the spread of new variants.

"But it is not straightforward," he admits, saying there
may be "further cases that we don't know about yet".]

Will the vaccine rollout have to restart if they don't
work on the new variants?
The i's Jane Merrick is next,
who asks Dr Hopkins if the spread of
COVID-19 is endemic and if vaccines prove ineffective,
will the vaccine rollout have to be restarted?

Dr Hopkins says there is work being
done to close down transmission of the new variant,
including additional testing.
She adds that on tweaked vaccines,
it is "unlikely" that they will have to
start the rollout again, saying it would
likely be a "booster shot".

She also asks Mr Hancock whether school
playgrounds should be opened if they can be done safely.

The health secretary says there
is "a lot of work to do together" adding
he understands the "implications of lockdown",
but appears to dodge the idea of at least
reopening playgrounds for children.]

Issues the SA strain and with other variants , concerns as regards vaccines, still 20,000+ dying each and every day - worrying stories surfacing about his badly the long term effects are - all this in a LOCKDOWN situation yet everyone just wants to reopen the schools .. I despair.

Our high school don’t even tell us how many staff / pupils are being tested positive and even when news slips out about one they keep the identity secret from the staff !!
