That is why Sunderland will always be in lower half of the premiership or in the upper half of the Championship.

Southend is moving to a new 22,000 seat football stadium including 114 bedroom hotel, conference facility, associated food and drink outlets in a few years time. That should allow us to generate enough money to stay in the championship once the ground is built.

But Sue to be honest you have spent nearly 2 million on players in the january transfer window were as Southend have had hardly any money to buy with.

Garry Hill and his assistant Kevin Hales were sacked and all the players put up for sale as a cost cutting measure, the chairman made very silly financial decisions and was relying on bigger crowds, longer cup run and to perhaps sell off one of the players for a 6 figure sum but none of this really materialised so they got rid of Hill and Hales and most of the first team players went.Lee-Barrett went to Coventry,Wilkinson to Havant, Logan, Elam and Tully to Exeter, Smith to Hereford and El-Kholti, Eribenne, Downer and Howell to Grays.

Another win today at Grays

Oxford and Daggers both won, so did York.

Good away win that was, shame I couldnt go due to the flu

.It sounded like we played well though, Fuller with a 30 yard volley, nice way to get your first goal and yet another one for Morison.Moving onto Stafford tomorrow night and we need to keep this run going but we are meant to be resting players, hopefully that wont bite us in the backside.

Oxford with another penalty I think, without them they'd be lost.

Weymouth have about 7 players left from before the transfer window and have just promoted youth teamers/signed trialists and they work hard but just lack the quality to win games it seems.The chairman should be ashamed.

Grays just seem to have the inability to score at the moment, to go from a side that scored over 100 hundred goals last season to this this misfiring side it quite shocking.
