But not really, my aunt and uncle are coming round later. My mum's bought loads of food so I don't really mind staying in. What about you?

..no, we used to have a party on New Year's Eve but not for a few years now because I don't feel quite comfortable around groups of people but my OH generally goes off to different neighbour's houses for a drink so I'll probably just watch a bit of TV while he's out..I'll see who is on Jools Holland, I usually watch that...

..isn't it funny how mums always have to buy loads of food in for every occasion.....

.....that's all dads Jonathan..even as grown ups with a family, my mum always gave us food parcels whenever we visited, like we never ate properly if she didn't..and it was always..oh I bought this but we never eat it so you might as well have it...so why did you buy it if you never eat it, mum....oh because it was two for the price of one/offer...so you bought two of those things that you never eat..?....and my dad would be checking the food parcel and saying that he would be on bread and water for a month because mum had given all of his favourite food away...but dads just like to pretend that they're mean because my OH does it as well....he'll say, oh your mum's been spending again and getting you this.....when in the shop, he's the one who'll say ...shall we buy that for the boys/they'll like that...it's all just a big act because they don't like anyone to think that they have a heart...
