It's a natural phenomenon, Marsh. There as a variety of different food types which correlate to unsavoury accidents which go against social norms - e.g being covered in a Caesar salad dressing.

• Pizza ( cheese could fall off)
• Ice cream/yoghurt - could look like cum stains
• Crisps - sticky fingers

These are just a few. But, this can even effect some really un-harmful foods, such as a brownie. You may think it's a good idea, but you don't notice the brown teeth you have after eating them. In my honest opinion I believe that to be worse than a bit of lettuce stuck between your teeth.

i had something similar last year where i literally could not swallow anything properly and had to have a drink on standby for every mouthful
i was scared i was going to choke, it was random and its one of the things, if not the biggest thing that led to me finding out i had anxiety
