Well, I've only got 7 exams, thankfully. But 3 of them are exams which you have to sit two papers, both 3 hours and 20 minutes long. French is 3 hours and 20 minutes including listening exam and my other three are 3 hours long. So rather long!

They start June 7th and finish on the 19th.

Good luck not getting distracted by BB, Tom. I remember doing my accounting mock exam the day before I met Kelly and I wa sso distracted I managed to scrape a whole 16%

Well the 3 exams are all 1 exam each so i guess that evens it out a bit. Im ok about my literature exam (Thats the 1 thursday) but not over my language

Well, it's 16% better than nothing at all!

It might not sound quite so severe, but I only managed 45% in my Mock Physics exam in December, which raised a few eyebrows considering I was supposed to be a "capable" student. Oh how I hate being labelled!

I can get by on the modular, multiple choice exams, but when it comes to explaining the reasoning behind Sciences, I just can't do it!

Oh well, it's the personality that makes the person, after all, and not the grades! (I convince myself!) Luckily, I'm not doing any Sciences for A-Level in 6th Form!

I can't imagine 3hrs 20mins of French, I'd want to incinerate all the croissants I could find afterwards!

One of my mates got cautioned by the school after the German Writing mocks, as we had so much time to spare, he had doodled "Heil Hitler!" and "Mein Fuhrer" on his script, translating as "Hail Hitler, my leader!" - Not good!

Just realised I have written an absolute essay - it's no surprise English is my strongest subject!

French is actually y best subject so I'd rather 3 hours plus of that than three hours of Accounting.

That's not bad for Physics. I know a lot of lads in my class failed their Physics mock exam even though they were people expected to at least pass. I got 51% in mine. Our exam was rather tough though. What kind of stuff do ye cover? How is your exam layed out?

I don't do phsics .. thank goodness!! But msot of my friends do and they say the first half of it is like multipal choice questions were you circle either a b c d e f

Yep, it sounds a similar setup, Davie! It's the same format for Biology, Chemistry and Physics:

During the year, we've had three modular (multiple choice, in which you put a dot in either circle ABC or D for Q1,2,3,4 and the 5.1-5.4 up to 10.4) exams for each subject, with each exam accounting for 10% of our final grades. We've also completed one piece of coursework for each subject, which is worth 20% of the final mark, hence the terminal for each is worth 50% - Eeek!

As for the topics covered, from reading off the sheet i've got, Here goes!!:

Biology:

Module 3: Environment
Module 4: Inheritance and Selection
Module 20: Biology in Action
Module 19: Moving and Feeding
Module 1: Humans as Organisms
Module 2: Maintenance of Life

Chem:

Mod 7: Patterns of chemical change
Mod 8: Structure and bonding
Mod 22: Chemistry in action
Mod 21: Aqueous and organic chemistry

Section B you have to answer like 8 questions which have 5/6 parts each, I think. And they're long questions requiring definitions and mathematical work. They are based on all the fundamental topics we do: Light, Heat, Waves, Electronics, Particle, Statics, Moments, Forces etc..

No multiple choice though.

All our sciences .. Bio Chemsitry and Phsics are all multipal choice questions but the 2nd half is worth more marks. Its hard but its easy if you don't know anything you can just circle it.

And the expeirment part .. we do that during the eyar its out folio and its 1/3 of out grade

Multiple choice isn't as easy as it sounds... granted we have the correct answer somewhere in front of us, but unlike other exams, the examiners seem to deliberately go out to trick you, changing tiny details in each answer.

Plus, they use countless double negatives in their questions. I can't think of an appropriate example, but it's similar to "which element doesn't refuse to repel the negatively charged cathode?" Plus, in tight time constraints, it's harder than it sounds, honest!!

The SQA are sooo ansty! When you are listening for something negative they tend to say it as fast as possible so you can't hear it!!! Arrrrrrrrgh

Today at French it kicked in this was my actual exams because on the CD it said 'Scottish Qualifications 2006' and i was like S H I T !!!!

I do like Physics though. It's my kind of subject. As is Maths. I can't wait to sit my Maths exam.

My strong subjects are English PE Studies Craft and Design Computing and Modern Studies

My favourites are English, History, Geography and to an extent... German!

I just find them quite easy, although there is often a lot of writing involved: they allow me to waffle, as I often have trouble being precise, as is probably obvious!

at school I was strong at English RS lol, ICT and History. I was rubbish at Maths, Science and Food tech and French i was middle at but I failed that and passed food tech lol

Well, I love doing the logical subjects like Maths & Physics but I always do best in language subjects for some reason.

Well I like to think I am. I've just always been good at Maths. Ever since I started primary school it's been something I've enjoyed and excelled at.

I'm pretty much an all-rounder, though. I can do anything well if I set my mind to it. Not to be big headed or anything...

Lol .. i wish i was good with numbers but for what i want to do is be a PE teacher which requires a 3 for Stnadard Garde Maths which i think ill get and Higher English which ill get enxt year as im good with English.

Maths isn't my thing .. we cant be good at everything ..
