This woman is a disgrace, as everyone has said. However... not so long ago there was a thread on here about the idiot who made fake facebook accounts in order to taunt most cruelly the family of a dead teenager. There were more than a few posts on here claiming that he was treated harshly and suggesting that he was allowed to say pretty much what he wanted because we supposedly have "free speech" in this country. Have those posters changed their minds now?

Sticks said that the woman had been detained 'for her own good'. In other words, she is being detained because people don't like her, not because she's been proven guilty of a crime.

Really...so the police arrest people just for the sheer hell of 'mob rule ?

There was me thinking that that was only part of the reason - given that she has in fact, actually committed a crime.

erm..point score with who? I'm my own person, If I scored points, I'd keep them for myself.

Sticks made a valid point and I agreed with it. The woman was remanded because the magistrate said it was for 'her own safety'

That's not a just reason to remand someone imo.
