I agree. I think it helped that Carmel was Bryan Kirkwood's original creation, it's the first death he's done since he returned which you can tell he's really spent time on.

A very nice episode, although I wish Nana could have been there for Carmel's death scene. I feel like Nico might not make it either, perhaps another death like Jono's? But Mercedes is also leaving, doubt she'll die as well.

Dunno, perhaps Nana could have heard about the crash and dumped the kids with Lindsey/Dirk/Tegan/Tony/Blessing/Big Bob. Delete where appropriate.

Jennifer Metcalfe says Mercedes' exit is 'amazing' so I doubt it's a cab/bus job although I'd prefer that to be honest. To have two of the McQueens leave at similar times, they either both should have left together in a big plot or one should get a big one (Carmel) and the other should get a smaller one (Mercedes) as consolation for having a job to return to.
