It's not that no negativity is allowed about him as a housemate - that comes with the territory - it's that a lot of that negativity (and about others) is excessively vitriolic and obsessive. There's plenty of housemates I've found boring or disliked over the years, but I've not made endless threads about Laura McAdam or Sam Kay attacking the way they look or their family or their mannerisms. At the end of the day, It's Only A Gameshow™.

And more to the point, what's happening now isn't a discussion about his merits as a housemate, it's deliberate baiting of his supporters and a desperation for him to return so that people can insult and bait him under the guise of "well you were a housemate!!". I just think it's totally unnecessary.

I love how you simplify Raph's experience to being a "loser". He went onto a show and put himself out there, he survived multiple evictions, he forms friendships, he saw every day, he was the highest ranking Day 1 entrant, and was in the house to see a close friend of his in the house be crowned winner.
