Not opposing Trump, that’s not the issue clearly. First they tried to stop him coming to Britain and when they failed they resorted to this nonsence. It won't shut him down... he's a world leader isn't he?
In the grand scheme of things it's a balloon, they are a group of protesters who disagree with him/his policies.

They can't stop him doing or saying anything.... he may be a representation for some as the embodiment of regression, he's sexist and prejudiced and doesn't appear to enjoy the notion of the free world.

For people like me who have known nothing but the advancement of rights and protections in the west the thought of someone potentially removing or rewinding that is quite unnerving.

People like stability, trump is unpredictable we have no clue what he will do yet, not do other world leaders, you can feel that. With trump in charge things just do not feel very balanced right now.

I would say this blimp is a reaction to that.

Haha! Maybe but as I said I think it's just a visual metaphor if trump was just a little more statesmanlike and less reactionary ... there wouldn't be this objection to him.

...the thing is for me is that toddler behaviour is something Trump excels at himself...it’s something he rightfully receives much criticism for... so if the response to that...(..the protest to that in this case...)..is equally toddler-like then what does that say...that we can be like him too...and who the heck would ever want to display behaviour in any way that would be similar to him...it’s not so much that there shouldn’t be a peaceful protest as such for me but more not lowering ourselves to toddler antics like Trump does, which I feel this would be...the money has been raised to do this so why not donate it to Mexican charities...which directly sends a message to Trump as well...thank you for your visit Donald, you’ve just inspired fund raising to help the Mexican people you so want to isolate...really appreciate that, sir....
