All hail the Moyesiah

Seems like a poor turnout on such an important vote. They've lost 30,000 declared members recently but perhaps even the current figure is an exaggeration

What the voting means is that the large exodos of snp members comes from their traditional independence base, so, going forward, it's going to be pretty much a non starter

Remembering Kerry
|
It was an absolutely dire choice of candidates.
Were these 3 REALLY the only 3 best the SNP could have as leader. I think a bad day for the SNP with perhaps many more bad ones to come. |

i think a small majority of the snp membership are what could be described as progressive. The majority of Scottish people are anything but progressive. That's why Forbes was the most popular candidate across the entire Scottish demographic. Whichever way you look at it, this result is not good for the continued success of the SNP

The SNP has made a renewed demand for a general election after Rishi Sunak
was today crowned the latest leader of the Conservative party. Ian Blackford, the Nationalist leader at Westminster, insisted the former chancellor had "no mandate" from the public to take charge of the country. ![]() what is he saying today? Last edited by Crimson Dynamo; 27-03-2023 at 02:41 PM. |

people in media are too scared to call him on his cult religion for fear of blame but they tore into Kate as her religion did not invent a phobia based name to brand people with who dare to question them

the SNP have shown how quickly a political party can implode. They are done. Not only is the new leader totally incompetent, but he is hugely arrogant too. The next scottish election can only be a year or 2 away, so it's a bust

Humza Yousaf’s SNP
SIR – Humza Yousaf’s victory in the contest to become the new leader of the Scottish National Party is good news for the Union, but bad news for Rishi Sunak. A poorly led SNP will certainly set back the cause of independence, but it could also leave many Left-wing voters in Scotland searching for a new home. If they return to Labour they will give Sir Keir Starmer the MPs he needs for victory at the general election. John Hicks Manchester |
