Based on the fact the focus of this was not a design task, do you not feel your efforts could have been better spent focusing more on trying to gather as much information or research as you could to make a stronger case for your final piece? Poth you yourself started market research, why did this not come through?

I do agree, what with people being busy the results weren't produced to a high enough standard and the research suffered because of this

To an extent I agree with this, but I think I made up for this with personal research and on top of that the other things that I did, so personally I think the positives heavily outnumber the negatives.

Yesterday I researched the history of Gdansk, I researched reviews on the hotel that I suggested and I looked at the 4 'adventurer' attractions

I did do a lot of research when I had time to do it which was rare during this task due to personal circumstances, but not much of it covered the grounds of what would have been appropriate for the presentation.

I did share the results saying people wanted a family holiday, but the team seemed very keen on an adventure holiday, so I had to go with my team.

Yes i do. But i was instructed to create the brochure so thats exactly what i did. I did send some information on various locations as i told the other candidates i could do more before i started designing.I mentioned this unique bar that wasn't mentioned that i saw as a selling point for both the young adults and and backpackers http://www.brovarnia.pl/en/.

These are 3 massive tourist destinations and then you all wasted more time discussing building lodges and activities centers etc(which would have raised questions about taking jobs from the local community/businesses and planning permission etc) and was miles away from the objective of this project.

Who was responsible for most of this time wasting and why did nobody curb this idea sooner?

Myself and Loukas were guilty of this, and Pothuthic made the point of the task clearer, I think I let go of the prospect a bit quicker than Loukas

I did bring this up constantly if you remember, from the start I suggested 4 European countries that weren't as popular (Slovenia, Slovakia, Serbia and Malta)

I also made it clear that I did not agree with the brazil or Australia ideas and I felt the whole lodges and activity centre ideas werent what we were tasked with, so I do feel like the other two were the two wasting time.

I tried to curb this idea, but I kept being told that it was a good idea :/

if you look back i mentioned i didn't read the brief properly the first time around and banished the idea of Australia instantly, fair enough i mentioned Brazil and New Zealand but who's idea did we go with in the end. If you felt it was a really bad idea you should have really stood up and said Loukas that's a bad idea.

Me, i would say i wasted the most time. I mentioned New Zealand because New Zealand was the only country saw a drop in british tourists in the last year.

To be honest 500 people isn't a huge drop really? Especially for a country that is so highly visited.

With that point, the task did say to promote a lesser known country rather than a lesser known part of a very well known country.

There wasn't a clear leader, nobody appointed themselves and it was all a bit of a mess

I would say we didn't really have a project manager, but I would also argue that I stepped up as a leader throughout the task

Jake, do you feel that the first night you cost the team valuable time while you were online by not throwing down any ideas even if they were weak that maybe one of your team mates could have developed upon later on?

I do not feel that I was under prepared at all, I prepared for this pitch for most of the day and I felt that I did a very good pitch.

I think personally maybe I could have done a tad more research about other parts then the ones we advertised, but I think that's a very very very minor thing as I felt I sold Gdansk very well.

i knew it was a team effort, it's a total team effort that how a strong business works. That's why i said the other candidates could and should produce something visual too and Jake did. Me and Jake mentioned loads of places that make Gdansk unique (restaurants ect) and none of those places were mentioned in our final pitch.

I say we all had equal say and we scrambled around trying to make things work.
