I don't understand. It was perfectly obvious it wasn't his choice?

His departure was announced as Corrie writing him out when his contract expires. Otherwise they would've reported it as "Shane Ward quits" as they do whenever that's the case.

No, but Sean is. Fiz thought Gemma was after Chesney so was spending more time with her but then Fiz and Tyrone argued about the Hope thing and she spent the night at Chesney's and Gemma and Tyrone got pissed and porked.
