Any member who is defending his what can only be described as a week long rant at the moon 9is doing so for tribal Tibb reasons and not from logic or even concern.

And to TS point. It's not things don't get done because people don't ask right, things are getting done every week, month, year but some people are too young and impatient to see change or know how to get it without smashing things up when they don't get their way.

It's much easier to throw a rock than it ever is to stand locally get elected to and make real lasting change.

That will sadly never change

as for Trump himself, well if you can still call all of this ''fake news'' on your social media, and promoting yourself with ''i did a lot for black community in 3 1/2 years, more than Biden in 43 years'' i never saw him doing anything good for black community (apart from that one tiny bit during election campaign he happened to show up in a church to win over votes from black community), on contrary him demolishing Obama-care is actually doing something against them and all middle-class in america

People get angry and emotional about injustice, things escalate, people get angrier and even more emotional. Yes, especially young people. I'm not sure what your point there is, other than an expectation that they not react in human ways to massive perceptions of injustice? And - yes I'm going to use the P word - I believe the only reason you DON'T understand these severe, visceral reactions to injustice is that you are a white bloke in Scotland, and you and me have never had to face any real injustice. You are privileged. I'd be willing to bet you've faced plenty of small injustices, and I'd be willing to bet that those made you rather annoyed.

In fact, I've seen you get rather annoyed about little perceived injustices right here on this forum, so you can't even claim it isn't the case. A certain book review incident? You, and others, were furious. You were not calm, cool, collected and rational. Over what amounts to a petty forum squabble. Amplify that by a few thousand and maybe you can empathise with how black people - especially young black americans - are feeling at the moment, and why their actions might not fit with your concept of what would be ideal.

See, I very sadly agree with you on what the outcome is going to be on all of this.

People are going to get fatigued with the anger. Sympathy will wane. Those protesting will increasingly find themselves screaming into the hurricane (ranting at the moon, as you put it) with fewer and fewer unaffected people - the NUMBERS they need to push for any sort of change - taking the time to listen.

And then the movement will dissolve into the background and nothing will change. A few cops will go to jail. Hundreds of young black people will go along with them. The cycle will continue.

The difference is that I think that's an absolute ****ing tragedy.

I really wish members wouldnt lie about infraction reasons.

Most are really passionate about the BLM movement and have been regularly posting on here about it without resorting to name calling, insults and so on.

Other members are attempting to bait said members and troll posts and threads so just know right now that we can see exactly what's going on and infractions will continue accordingly.

Some however are getting too worked up and becoming personal and insulting to other members sometimes bringing them up when they have no part in the thread or discussion.

All of this behaviour takes away from the importance of the discussions and awareness being raised in these threads so please just stop.

It all depends how you percieve things ,its the same with Boris supposedly 'hiding' in a fridge,the media imediately leapt on that when infact I was watching that program and he was infact already going into the fridge helping some guy with milk I think it was, he even had the overalls on that the other guys did,but it was enough to get that headline that he was 'hiding' NO he wasn't it just fits some agendas

Slim he was going to go in there anyway,he has the gear on,I watched it when it was on and am pretty sure someone called him,he could see what they were up to,but whatever , the media whipped it into more than it was as usual.
