Surprised as I thought Ten Hag would be out just cuz INEOS didnt hire him.

Bad move IMO. I dont think he's an elite manager. His signings have all been quite poor with little sign of improvement - except for Martinez but he cant stay fit. I dont see any discernible style of play to get excited about. He has players who, if they showed such a poor attitude at other top clubs, would never play. I think Utd will struggle in the league again.

Sancho for example said he would only come back if ten hag was sacked, but he is under contract, and i don't think INEOS will put up with any more of that

Ten Hag expects a certain level of fitness from players, and many of them couldn't do it, which is why i think there were a lot of injuries. It will take 5 years to get rid of players with the high wages they are on, they wont move anywhere when they are on a good deal at united

Yes, but Man Utd are like the celebrity club that everyone wants to talk about. The manager is never too far away from the sack or being back to the glory days. He wont be given five years and I'm surprised he's been given three years. If Man Utd were in the position that say Spurs are in. If there was an exciting manager with an exciting style of play then I'd be more optimistic. Man Utd conceded more shots than any other team in the Premiership last year yet that manager stays cuz he won a cup and that means Man Utd fans can gas it and claim they had a good season in comparison to other. The cup has papered over the cracks once again and it may have saved his job. I;d be interested to know what Man Utd would think if Ten Hag had stayed having not won the FA cup.

Another thing. Against Coventry TH showed me he doesn't have it. Cov made two simple changes that enabled them to get in behind Wan Bissaka and exploit the space between the centre back and full back. What did TH do? Nothing. Stood there with his arms folded.

yes, TH has a better record than many realise. Also, history will show 2 cup wins in seasons where Arsenal continued to win nothing. In a way it's the same as liverpool who were up for the quadruple a couple of seasons ago and ended up with nothing

he refused to apologise though, thats why he didn't play for months and was then shipped out on loan. They also don't want a disruptive voice in the dressing room. He recently said he would come back if TH was sacked. So he won't be back under any circumstances

Whilst I do agree with you on Ten Hag not being a Manager that is of the caliber of what Man Utd should be looking for, there has probably been three things assessed about Man Utd from INEOS perspective.

1. Can they get a Manager that's currently available, that is a better Manager than Ten Hag?

2. He did win the club another trophy this season, even if I personally am suspicious of how Man City had an off day, the day that Man Utd needed to qualify for a European competition.

But if we take it at face value, Ten Hag has won them two trophies, which is two more than what Solskjaer, Moyes, and Rangnick won them.

3. Last but certainly not least, is how many Managers can get the blame for the Man Utd players being lazy?

I just personally feel that if the club is nearly considering bringing Greenwood back, then Sancho speaking out of term a couple of times could at least warrant a final chance.

But I get it tbf, Sancho hasn't exactly lit the stage up the last few seasons, except for one Champions League game.
