This is a tweet from the PM today

could not bear to say who did it - ISLAMIC TERRORISTS

5 years of this cowardice and appeasement ahead?

Keir Starmer
@Keir_Starmer

Today marks 19 years since the horrific 7/7 terror attacks where 52 people
lost their lives and many more were injured.

Today we remember them, their families and the efforts of our emergency
services.

We will always stand united against those who attempt to divide us.

Default Sir Keir Starmer & his Labour Party

This is so scary given that our judges / justice system are the most lenient in the world

they are already being released after that length of time, so i don't get how that is news.

What they need to do is free up prison space by removing people jailed for things like not paying community charge or tv licence and concentrate on violent criminals etc

The new minister for prisons is a strong believer that there are huge amounts of people in prison that don’t need to be in prison, so hopefully he puts his decades long advocacy into action

Absolutely right .

There's no need for new prisons.

Get most of the non violent prisoners out doing other work and not costing loads to keep them in prison..
I've long felt it's ridiculous.

It's easier to get a mugger not getting a custodial sentence than someone who's committed a fraud, or theft without any violence or damage involved.

There's no rhyme or reason to that when the prisons are vastly overcrowded.

I disagree.
There's way too many people sent into prison who could be dealt with in other ways.
I totally disagree with you on that.

Lots of funding could be saved.

7 July 2024
Home Secretary Yvette Cooper has set out the first steps towards setting up a UK Border Security Command, which the government hopes will reduce small boat crossings in the English Channel.
Work to recruit an "exceptional leader" to head the body will begin on Monday, with the government preparing a bill to create counter-terror powers aimed at tackling organised immigration crime.

Mmmmm

Let me take a wild guess .. .. would his name be Jonathan Ashworth ??

I’m seeing rumours online suggesting that Labour’s first scandal maybe just around the corner… apparently involving a new, young MP

it's inevitable that there will be scandals and there always will be. Labour haven't been in charge when social media is as strong as it is. Also, the more mp's you have, the more trouble you will have. It's relatively easy to control a small opposition group that the media isn't really interested in
