Have a feeling this time in about 8 years they'll be pushing Ben and Jay as the new Mitchell brothers and Louise and Courtney as the new Mitchell sisters except they're not really sisters forgetting our Phil and Grant and our Ronnie and Roxy.

Yes, they can.

They can't see more than shadows/shapes for six weeks because of the film over their eyes but they can open their eyes from birth.
