Germany got lockdown now until 7th of March

1st of March though Barbers can reopen only under correct covid guidelines with proper PPE equipment and FFP2 face mask otherwise they can be closed again if they don't stick to guidelines

schools won't reopen (even though some regional leaders wanted that) but thx to advice of Professor Doctor Hendrik Streeck he still finds it how they live in uncertain times, regarding not knowing much about new strains, and not wanting too many of the new strain cases to go up, better to keep the schools closed for now until they know more

I was feeling a bit poorly yesterday, but I'm fine now.
I got headache and tiredness, but they told me it would happen.
But I think it's worth it to be protected.

I totally agree.

It's really getting on my nerves listening to the tripe being spouted.

So the Health secretary has booked a holiday in Cornwall.
Well in the Summer, a domestic holiday may be more likely.
Either way he can likely afford to lose any deposits.

I'm all for finding fault where fault lies but it's ridiculous how this holiday tripe is going at present.

I know someone who's had a cruise booked since before the first lockdown, now cancelled twice already now.
They know it can't happen and may not for ages.
Who knows.

As for booking holidays now, sorry to me that's just unwise.

Australia's "No Jab, No Pay" policy goes back to 2016 and is about not getting benefits/child tax breaks/childcare help if you refuse to vaccinate children. It looks like it might be extended to stopping adult benefits payments if people refuse the Covid vaccine.

It has nothing to do with work-based-pay.

What a misleading post Arista.

People are desperate to go away after what’s going on and can you blame them? no. Gives people something to look forward to if it’s allowed then

Not being funny but the Government don't have a crystal ball so saying yes you can get away in the summer now would be just as mad as it was to let people mix at Christmas, the infection numbers do not support it at the moment and they dont have enough data on the vaccine roll out yet, it will only kick into the numbers this week or next

and its not like you cant book a last minute break

we have not been to our place in Spain since last Feb so I am just as eager to get away but there is no point going if it is going to drag us all down into the mire again

also weren't you away at Christmas so you are not too badly off surely?

No, not at Christmas before lockdown 2 started but I’m not talking about me because I don’t really mind since I’ve already had one recently. I’m talking about those who haven’t been since this whole thing started and kept having their holidays cancelled. I know the gov don’t have a crystal ball but as I said they just a bit eager and desperate and probs fed up so It’s understandable. Maybe it’s the influencers going to Dubai made people feel like this

Well since he's reversing or planning to, the unnecessary and shocking costly reforms that Cameron abused power to do.
Then I support this.

In fact I'm becoming more impressed with Matt Hancock at present.

I would prefer the NHS and reforms to be on an all party consultation and have something up that will be stable and secure from further changes on a party political basis.
Also perhaps not done until this pandemic is more controlled.

This has been a turbulent and mentally and physically draining year for the NHS with this virus.

I'd like him to open that up and involve all Parties too.

However, at present the Health secretary is looking and sounding much more adept.

Critics in the Cons and others may say he's only positioning himself to run for the leadership again..
Well if that was so, good on him.
Maybe he's realised how pathetic this PM is.

Acknowledging they were wrong and need changing/ reversing as to Cameron's deceitful reforms done from 2012.
Well Matt Hancock gets my applause on that.

Yeah I get you but as far as I can see its the media asking about holidays, every briefing its the same thing, like can we open the restaurants and non essential shops before we start talking about holidays
