Well her stuff really changed over the years. She went from folk to introspective songwriter and then into jazz and funk, with more of sociopolitical feel to her lyrics, while always maintaining that clarity of vision and purpose. Very intelligent and artistic woman.
This is probably a good example of her introspective and soul searching period. Magic. Not really easy listening though! |
