How someone got to the final doesn't have anything to do with it. It's how popular they are with the voters, always has been, always will be.

We've had people make the final (maybe even win) who never faced a public vote all series. Doesn't make a difference. The winner is who the voters like most and that never changes.

When Helen went to the diary room and said she didn't say it, Big Brother "assured" her that all the quotes in the game were true. They then cut to a flashback showing us when she said it, lay on the sofas with Ash. So don't tell lies.
