Yeah her Shot and Javelin both suck but she's easily the best in the field in the 200 and the long jump, if she can run sub 23 in the 200 and jump 6.80+ she'll be right back in it for the final 800m, which she's usually strong at.

Despite her small size she's actually quite good at Shot and Javelin, not amazing but certainly strong in terms of her competitors. She's decent at the 200 and great at the 800, so it just depends how close she can get to KJT in the long jump tbh.

Not sure how much the wind will be a factor tonight but this year KJT has thrown over 13.00 in shotput, it's one of her biggest improvements

She's set a PB in the Shot this year but in all the heptathlons she's done this year she's thrown lower than 13m. Her Gotzis throws were absymal. Jess is a consistent 14m+ thrower so Kat really needs a PB in the Shot again tbh.

Yeah but then she did Gotzis a few weeks after that and struggled to throw above 12m.

Thiam has a really strong shot, she'll definitely be leading after 3 events I reckon. But her 200 is poor so I expect Kat/Jess/maybe even Akela to be the overall leader at the end of day 1.
