Why would she need to make a scene? Why would she tweet about it with a transcript of how she remembered the conversation and put herself about on news channels to relate how she was 'abused and violated' by an 83 yr old woman?
It would have been a mature thing to do to speak directly to the old lady about how her words were making her feel, and report it to Camilla (who she was seen talking and smiling with after her 'horrid' encounter.)

But no, this very capable woman who heads a charity for abused women grasped the opportunity to make a huge media fuss because she is a known anti - monarchist who has tweeted before about their (non - existent) 'racism' and domestic violence against poor Meghan. Simple as.

Also, I don't believe Lady Susan was being racist. She has mixed with people from all walks of life all over the world while accompanying the Queen and has never put a foot wrong.
This immediate naming, shaming and destroying the careers and lives of anyone who unintentionally offends is doing so much damage to not only that particular person, but to race relations as a whole. It creates a 'them vs us' situation. How can that help towards understanding and unity?

The one part I do agree with is I believe that she deserves a second chance.

Especially if she can learn from her mistake, which imo asking an English woman "what part of Africa do you come from" repeatedly to be a mistake, and obviously offensive.

I have read posts and watched members of minority groups disagreeing with how she handled the situation - that it was way OTT and publicity driven!
