Fair enough.

I do think that Man Utd winning despite not playing well sometimes reminds me of the Fergie days.

Obviously Man Utd need to not make this type of performance be a regular occurrence though, because you'll be playing with fire if you start playing like tonight against Man City, Newcastle or Brighton.

James went off injured and Chilwell was carrying a knock as he was replaced late on today

Dunno how i feel about this. As crap as Chelsea were last season, when Kepa got in he didn't concede too many goals. Sanchez is a mistake just waiting to happen. He gave the ball away yesterday in a dangerous position, we were just lucky Liverpool didn't capitalise on it.

Also Denver, you seem to know a lot about Chelsea's FFP situation, maybe you should share your findings with the appropriate bodies. I'll grant you, we have spent a ridiculous amount of money over the past year or so. But we've made a bit back, and we do still have some saleable assets. Sterling played alright yesterday but he'll be no loss if he goes. Lukaku. Mudryk will probably leave next season as it's just not gonna happen for him in England. We'll get something for Cucurella, not much but it'll help. Caicedo aside, we've made more in the transfer market this summer over what we've spent too.

Chelsea have also shipped a lot of players out on loan, released loads that were at the end of their contracts. Thats all money off the wage bill which all helps ffp.

I mean, probably just. Last season, no. It was impossible to know who was gonna play, and where they came from. When Ugochukwu came on yesterday i had to scratch my head. Same with Gusto. And Chukwuemeka starting must have thrown a lot of people. I get where you're coming from though. Injuries and so many comings and goings, even for Chelsea fans it's been hard to keep up.

I've followed a lot of preseason stuff which has helped. Maatsen who came on for the last 10 mins yesterday had impressed in preseason, and Jackson who started had too.

I even have Jackson in my fantasy team, on the bench. I mean he wasn't brilliant at all yesterday, his powerful run through the Liverpool defence did show his potential though (Mudryk wasted it)
