I think the films do not do the books justice, i'm just glad they are doing the final film in 2 parts. I've always said this too my mum, that minus for the first 3 which were easy since the books were so small, that all the films should of been wither 4-5 hours long or been split into 2. Or if that wasn't commercial release the full 5 hour movie on dvd and do a directors cut for the cinema.
The books are amazing and teach children about discrimination, good and bad, love and really important things like that, and when reading the last book I always thought how it closely ties into racism, with muggles being treated like dirt because they were muggles.

Those books are like the best books ever ive read them all. JKs so clever! But the films are great too but it must be hard to fit all the parts from the book into a 2 hour slot.. maybe they should make the film 3 hours lol. Im also glad that the DH has been split into 2 films aswell x

I've finished the 7th book yesterday and I have to say it's the best one ever, even if I am kinda disappointed by the ending, I expected something more spectacular.
About the films, generally it's not really great because they remove some big parts of the book which don't explain what happens next.

I've been re-reading the last book recently as well, because I feel like I skipped parts the first time round.

Why oh why did they have to kill Hedwig Mindless violence I tell ye!

Me either, I hope it's an amazing trailer. All five trailers have been great, my favorite one was for Goblet of Fire, I loved the music.

Is there going to be 2 films for the final book, so they can fit in everything what happens?
I am sure I have read that somewhere.

In the picture of Harry in Dumbledores office, he's holding Dumbledores wand, pretty spine chilling, when you know just how powerful the wand is.

I dont get why people say that harry potter is the worse book ever, i think the popularity proves that its not. Some people just dont like reading to something everyone else does, because they think they are special :P

I do agree that the films are rubbish though... the only decent ones are the first 2, but they were the smallest books so it makes sense.

I agree, the films are crap, when you think how much was missed out from the 5th book, that really annoyed me, it was the one film that I was looking forward to, coz its probably my best book of the series.

I dont think the 5th book was boring. It got the overall plot going much much quicker if you know what I mean. We discover why Voldermort hunted down Harry's mum and dad, and such. The capters in which they were at the Ministry were just great! And in Dumbledores office at the end, with the shouting fit Harry has. I thought the 5th book was brilliant.
