I found Pauls school through the Friends Reunited site his profile is very interesting.!!! I hope he done it before big brother Also as a point of interest Helen is now on the site, under her school, which was put on after her big brother experience.

OK, here's another Paul Clarke question!

What innovative and useful item did Paul win a Design Show award for in 1998?

N.B. This was as in addition to the national prize he won for his dissertation on 'computer generated humans in films'!

The clever, and cleary innovative and thoughtful Mr Clarke very considerately designed a kitchen clampy thing to help people with athritus.

Meanwhile, Betty was pontificating how big space was and how thick and shallow anyone not expert in the humanities is.

Sadly, not only have I visited this site, I have to admit I have also read the attached riveting item re: his dissertation prize!

I must admit, I have thought to myself that whilst Elizabeth basked in her tree-hugging 'I want an alcohol free world where everyone runs round naked on a beach, and everyone is equal, free and happy' speil, Paul has actually done something practical about improving the lives of the disabled. Not a word of this to anyone. What a guy!

Oh no - the responsibility of posing a question to you lot!

And, I've just read that website properly, and realised that Paul got a BA, not a BEng as I'd assumed, or at least a BSc. All these months and I thought I had an affinity with him because he was a fellow techno person who loved arranging the greek alphabet on paper for reasons other than the study of ancient civilisation!

I must admit, his dissertation did sound a bit like a girl's subject, but ho-hum - I'm sure it did at least involve a few sums, or a class in painting by numbers. I digress ...

Maintaining the practical theme and because I'm not feeling very innovative myself - and as a test to see who really does pay attention ...

Feefs! Behave, thou shalt not cast nasturtions on the lovely Paul Clarke. He has a 2:1 BSc Hons (probably the only thing I really have in common with him) in Product Design Visualisation!

The answer to your question is I believe,
so he could mend the lawn mower, and, you know, mow the lawn, alright?

It definitely says on the webpage that he got a BA, not BSc, but it was of course (Hons). Being a saddo, I researched this further. It seems you can do either a BA or BSc in Product Design Visualisation at Bournemouth, depending on what options you take. This is what the website had to say on the subject.

The attainment of this goal requires the use of creativity and innovation to solve problems whilst addressing the functional, social and economic needs of the market place. The course is offered in two streams: BA (Hons) and BSc (Hons).

The Product Design Course is validated by the Institution of Engineering Designers, allowing continuation to professional qualifications.

Yes monie, you do on here when were talking Paul Clarke! We know more about him than he does! I really didn't think it would take anyone long to think of a scene when he lay, in only the boxers, sprawled tantalisingly across the bed, full of angst and pent up 'emotions'............
