RaVaughn clears rumours about Revolver net demo
The big buzz that has been going on in the "Queendom" since a few days is all about the snippets, that have been leaked onto the internet, of the original demo (not sung by Madonna), of the new song that the Queen Of Pop has recently recorded in the studio and that is titled "Revolver". Our long time friend and forum member Tastyboy had the chance to speak to RaVaughn, the vocalist that has worked as a backing singer for many R&b artists and that has confirmed that it's actually her singing in the demo and not "Shawnna featuring Jackie Boyz", as the leaked snipped has been mislabeled. "I did record the original female demo 'Revolver'", RaVaughn confirmed to our friend Francesco, adding that "The Jackie Boyz" wrote it and asked me to come demo it for them. Los of the Jackie Boys recorded it originally and they wanted a female vocal on it so I went in and did it." Deducing that "Revolver" reached Madonna when DJ Frank E submitted it to her while recently working together in the studio for her Greatest Hits package, the song had been already submitted (and probably turned down) by a few artists: "It was said to be pitched to Katy Perry and Flo-Rida, he was supposed to rap on it", RaVaughn told our friend. Commenting about her demo that leaked onto the internet RaVaughn said: "I didn't even know a lot of people heard the demo. Madonna and Jesus not getting hitched, singer's rep says
 Madonna and her boy toy Jesus have no plans to get married, a spokesperson for the singer tells In Touch magazine. “This is completely and totally not true,” her spokesperson says. (No word from Jesus' rep.) Rumors started flying on Thursday that the 22-year-old Brazilian hunk’s father, Luis Heitor Pinto da Luz, announced that his model son and Madonna were getting married in a Kabbalah service in New York. The proud papa allegedly told a Brazilian magazine that "the ceremony [that] will link up my son Jesus Luz and Madonna only confirms that he is extremely happy." That didn't make much sense anyway in light of how Madonna seemed to confirm recently on her Twitter site that she was single again. "Hello Madonna honey I'm glad you are single again - you made your best music as a single woman," a fan wrote. Madonna replied: "'Not as glad as I am." Oakenfold to preview new material on tour
Paul Oakenfold has described the new material he has recorded with Madonna as "cutting edge sounds combined with classic Madonna". The pair spent a week together in the studio last month producing songs for the Miles Away singer's upcoming greatest hits package. Oakenfold confirmed that the new material will be previewed when he opens for Madonna on the second leg of her Sticky & Sweet world tour, which kicks off in London on July 4. The DJ will also play at the Wireless Festival before supporting Madonna on European dates in Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Russia and Eastern Europe. His new album Pop Killer is expected to be released in 2010 and features collaborations with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ryan Tedder and Ce-Lo. (source: Digital Spy) ~ It's pure speculation, but keep in mind if Oakenfold previews the new songs as the opening act, it's not exactly likely that Madonna would perform them live in the actual show. William Orbit still friends with Madonna To promote his brand new album 'My Oracle Lives Uptown', William Orbit gave a long interview to UK radio station BBC which turns out quite a career retrospective, so naturally Madonna is mentioned several times. Orbit talks about the recording sessions of Ray Of Light, how they became friends with Madonna during the process, and more importantly, he reveals that he sent in a few new tracks for Madonna's latest project (the new greatest hits album, but he did not name it), but Madonna did not use them. He admits that Madonna is into a different kind of dancy sound now, in the vein of Britney's Blackout album (especially 'Piece Of Me') and her own Music by Mirwais (which fits DJ Frank E's electro pop hint), but Orbit himself cannot create sounds like that. He says they are still friends though and "never say never" regarding if he'd ever work with her again, and calls Madonna a very talented musician. He also talks about his work with other artists, like U2 or Blur. Two Classics are back! The extension of the Madonna tour is about to start in less than two months and here at MadonnaTribe we've heard a few things buzzing around. Rehearsals are planned to take place in New York and starting at the beginning of June. They will approximatively go on for a month before flying to London for the premiere on July 4th. As for the changes in the Sticky & Sweet set list a couple of beloved old classics will be replacing two songs of the 2008 lineup. The songs considered at the moment are the 1983 First Album classic hit Holiday, making its comeback in a Madonna tour and Dress You Up, the old fan favourite from Like A Virgin! The inclusion of such classic songs will surely convince the people who were unsure about this tour extension that Madonna is once again trying something new, by strengthening her already successful show of 2008, reinventing it by adding more fan favourite oldies but goodies! |
