Red Mage would be an interesting albeit difficult class to place in this game since it is a jack of all trades class in a game where classes are explicitly defined. I do want more magic classes though, a DoM tank would be an interesting prospect as well as a melee ranged mage (could be the Red Mage).

True, I wonder if Samurai will be a spin off job from Rogue, lol.

I like how the story sounds to be moving away from current threats and concentrating on the Dragonsong War, though, I imagine the Garlean Empire will interfere, especially with the new Emperor.

The Halloween event has begun today, its a fairly decent questline, not to mention you can get temporarily glamoured as NPCs!

I took on the dreaded Twintania last night in Turn 5 of the Binding Coil of Bahamut. We managed to get a decent way into the fight but kept falling down at the Twister stage.

The game is going down for a full day next week for the patch from 7am Monday to 7am Tuesday. Presumably because its such a big update, with Rogue and Ninja being added.

Patch 2.4 is launching tommorow, with the new Class/Job - Rogue and Ninja.

At the moment the game is down until tommorow morning in preparation.

The storyline in this patch was pretty epic, a lot of exciting stuff ahead, also, can clearly see the links to Heavensward appearing.

How many times have you run ST now that the loot is unrestricted? I've been doing it loads, got almost a full set of Lancer and Monk gear from it now, my PGL and LNC 's only at level 15 but you can't be too prepared.

I've done about five runs now, only got sands the once though. I have got a spare casting robe out of it, as well as an unidentified allagan tomestone and some oils of time. It's worth getting a UAT and the ten soldiery tokens in return for a tomestone ilvl 110 weapon.

Yeah, lol, its a shame so much Odin stuff has been given away from his fates, lol. There's gonna be an Extreme version too. I wonder how it will work storywise, with it being outside of the normal flow?

It's been known for a whole that Triple Triad is coming to the Golden Saucer in XIV, but what wasn't known is, a playable version is also being added to an upcoming FF mobile phone app.

The franchise will also have a new free phone app titled Final Fantasy Portal. The app will allow fans to check the newest information about the franchise, and will also have the Final Fantasy VIII game Triple Triad available to play within the app. By registering their Square Enix ID and playing Triple Triad, players can receive points that they can exchange for digital contents. Triple Triad will have cards with illustrations from characters throughout the franchise's history, including Final Fantasy VII's Barrett, Final Fantasy VIII's Seifer and Rinoa, Final Fantasy IX's Princess Garnet, and Final Fantasy XII's Vaan and Balthier. The mini-game will also be able to share cards with the Final Fantasy XIV online game. The date of release for the app has not been announced.

I don't bother with the Relic Weapons any more, I'll just stick with my 110 Soldiery weapons until 2.5 comes out and then I'll get the new Tomestone weapons since the item needed for them will likely be in the World of Darkness.

I'm using the soldiery weapon and working on the relic on the side. Apparently the next stage is a completely new look.
