Trump should just concede at this point, he had a good run, he won when no one thought he would, lightening wasn't going to strike twice.

Biden's win is inevitable now. It's the equivalent of a football team winning 5-0 in injury time, Trump needs the biggest and most unrealistic comeback of all time!

Florida and Texans are the nicest Americans I’ve come across when I travelled America, the people don’t need changing there

and they'd deserve it

How is Trump leading in PA, but the odds so overwhelming in favour in Biden? Do they expect most the votes counted will go to Biden?

Probably, if most/all of the remaining are mail-in votes.

Lots of Philadelphia and other favourable regions still to be counted. I think even Trump knows he’s about to lose it.

Yes. They were mail in votes and Trump spent most of the election shooting down the idea so the election has heavily gone in favour of Biden due to that.

Tump and Biden are doing GTA 3 speedruns. Trump starts his first and finishes with a WR. Then Biden starts 5mins after Trump starts. Trump - I was winning, I have a world record, it's the best world record, nobody's ever seen a world record like it, believe me.

Biden finishes then beats his world record.

Trump - he can't have the world record, I have the world record. He cheated.

On most maps it's a flip.

They split their votes for various weird historical reasons (so they can have both dem and rep electoral college members) whereas most states vote as one block of all the same party.

No, the votes technically aren't official until every vote is counted and verified and the win isn't official until the electoral college officially elects the president... but USUALLY the losing candidate would concede defeat before that's necessary (it still happens as a formality).

Not really, all networks have their own data analysts (although I think many employ the same company, hence similar maps) who will “call” states when they think one candidate has reached a threshold where their opponent cannot mathematically or realistically (given historical precedence) overtake them. It’s a little different to the UK where they actually count all of the votes, and then the returning officer declares an official result

Counting for several days, even weeks in the States is not unusual, in fact it’s the norm. The reason this election hasn’t been “called” yet like it normally would’ve been is because of the disproportionately high number of mail-in ballots (cos covid, obvs). Different states have different rules about when they can be counted and accepted until

That’s the general gist

It’s also fairly amusing that the first network (and still one of the only ones) to call Arizona was Fox News

There’s only one person who dislikes losers more than Donald Trump, and it’s Rupert Murdoch

Trump’s lead in Pennsylvania has now shrunk too under 100K. It was 750k+ like 24 hours ago!
