2 good goals at 2-0 to us then we gave away a penality which wasnt a penality then they scored straight after then dsane scored it was at the other end of the ground so i couldnt see but apparently he kneeled down and headed it in lol i didnt know if it was a goal or not but it was. Then cavanagh kicked one off the line it was an eventful game to say the least but it was a good game. Oh and dsane scored first and mullin scored 2nd

Southend Utd beat Walsall by 2 goals to nil at Walsall today. It keeps us in the play off places in League One and moves us closer to the the top of the table.

Correction - we are second in league 1 and one point away from the leaders.

I wish I was joking but nobody else was around to take charge so the oldest player decided to take charge for a short session.Something needs to be done quickly as we've got a tough FA Cup game on Saturday, this must be demoralising for the players.

Stevenage chairman Phil Wallace admitted defeat in his race to sign a new Manager before this Saturday's FA Cup game at Salisbury, telling Webnews

"We've done everything we possibly could to make an appointment before Wednesday but it wasn't to be and we'll now go into the 3 day pre-match preparation for the FA Cup match with Scott Barrett taking the team and Bob Makin covering the managerial role for this one game.

"Bob had 10 years as a 1st Team Manager, knows all our lads well and had 17 years as a player, so he's quite capable of stepping in at short notice for one match. With the technology we have available to us this season he's able to watch every Boro player's individual performance in every game since July, as well as detailed analysis on the opposition which has been prepared this week. Scott will continue in his normal role, just as he did against Burton last Thursday.

"We've got a short list now, which will get even shorter next week, and I fully expect that some of those on it will be at Saturday's game watching the team's performance for future reference."

You can have a good cup run this season if you're pretty much safe in the league.Barnet are doing well this season.

If we go through all I want is to play someone we don't normally play.We had Forest Green at this stage last season and then we lost to Wrexham.

We've not really done too well in the FA Cup in recent years either, think we got to round 3 and lost to Swansea back in 2003 but before that it was all the way back in 1997/98 that we got to the 5th round and lost in a replay to Newcastle.

I wanted one of the little crap teams this round, if we go through I'll take the winner of Ware v Tonbridge Angels and you can have the winner of Chippenham v Horsham

lol im always unsure about the smaller teams because we lost against a smaller tesm in the first round 2 years ago and then they got huddesfield and then huddesfield got chelsea at chelsea so i was really annoyed
