What caught my attention was that the news reader just carried on with her broadcast and didn't even acknowledge that a person was behind her.

If she or anyone had have done that in England at the BBC. They wouldn't have been made into a hero by our media. They'd be made out to be scum and they'd probably get locked up in the cells.
