This morning both Marcus and Kenneth have attempted to escape the BB house. Kenneth had been hinting at wanting to go all morning with Noirin and Bea putting it down to attention seeking. At around 5:08am however, together with Marcus, Kenneth climbed onto the roof of the Big Brother house.

As Kenneth prepared his escape he told Marcus that he couldn’t wait until Friday to leave the house saying he was feeling really down. Marcus gave Kenneth some information about the structure of the roof having climbed onto twice already this series, “It’s sloped, short skip up, flat all the way along – tread carefully!” the Wolverine look-alike advised. “No one else has done a plan, thought of it and executed it in a way this is going to happen – and for the reason as well.” Marcus continued as Kenneth looked on at the roof from the living area.

Marcus and Kenneth talk about escaping

“Any final regrets?” asked Marcus.

“I’ll see you as a close friend after this, there is no other way, I came in as a legend, I go out as a legend,” Kenneth replied. “Let’s do this,” he commanded and with that their pair raced out into the garden and started climbing up the wall.

Kenneth and Marcus climb the walls

Big Brother, having heard their plans, was quick to respond, “This is Big Brother can Marcus and Kenneth come off the wall immediately and come to the diary room.” The pair ignored the voice and instead jumped up onto the roof above the house itself and starting to run to the front. Their plan came to a quick end when they discover it was much higher than they thought, “I think we’ve been defeated Marcus” said Kenneth, “That’s far too high of a drop,” as the pair stood at the edge of the roof.

Marcus and Kenneth review their plans

“Would Marcus and Kenneth come down from the roof immediately, for health and safety reasons the roof is not designed to take the weight of people. If you do not obey you risk expulsion from the house,” repeated Big Brother.

Marcus returns

For a while there is nothing from the pair as they looked for other ways down. Some time later however Marcus reappeared and returned to the house where he started to wash up as if nothing had happened.

Currently Ken has not returned to the hous

I think he deperately needs to cling on to that self-belief. He couldn't face what the public really think about him. More fragile than he lets on, maybe?

I wonder how seriously do they consider rule-breaking?.

You're right I think.

There was no way he was ever going to come out on Friday and get slaughtered by the crowd, he just couldn't have taken it.

The only surprise is that his "boys and bodyguards" didn't launch a daring SAS style mission to rescue him...

Now he can just go on pretending that he is the man.

i depends on how good a commodity that HM is, and how much interest and revenue their continued presence might generate?

it's all about income and the more controversy and interest the HMs create and the BB producers can manipulate the better the figures both viewing, and from the telephone voting fees.

if you had a "rebel", even a tame pretendy type rebel, in there would you want them out?

There's a Kenneth-shaped hole in the Big Brother House this morning, as recent arrival Kenneth did a bunk in the early hours of this morning. Citing girlfriend Karly, or rather the lack of her, as his reason for going, he absconded around dawn, over the wall, with a little help from Marcus.

He only spent a few short days in the House, but he certainly made an impression - enough of one to get the rest of the housemates theorising about his disappearance anyway.

Shortly after his departure Marcus was in the Diary Room, giving BB the lowdown with uncharacteristic empathy.

"He was brought in here to be reunited with someone, only to be split up again," he began. "I was in the room and I saw genuine emotion when he came in. I heard her talk about Kenneth and I heard him talk about her. Maybe not in such a nice way, but this place gives you time to reassess things and he did that and decided she was more important than Big Brother. If I was in his shoes, I'd so the same."

Around half nine, the rest of the housemates awoke, and realised there was no-one sleeping in Kenneth's bed.

"Where's Kenny?!" asked Bea, the first to spot he was missing.

"Did he leave?" asked Noirin, as the rest of the housemates speculated.

"He kept saying he wouldn't be here in the morning," said Bea. Marcus began to drop a few hints and the housemates began theorising.

"I don't think he wanted to be booed," said Bea, hardly Kenneth's biggest fan. "He didn't make a good first impression."

A little later, Kenneth's chums Rodrigo and Lisa were still in shock.

"I knew he was gonna go, and d'you know what, I'm happy for him," said Lisa. "If my girlfriend came in, then went out, I'd walk back out again. There's more to life."

"He didn't seem as upset as Karly," said Rodrigo.

"He was," said Lisa. "He's probably with her now."

Reunited? Guess we'll find out soon...
