Rodgigues is getting away with his childish petulant behaviour because the others see him as the 'baby of the house'. They always give in to him, especially after he has run to the diary room for the umteenth time bawling his eyes out. There is something of the serial killer about Rodrigous - his face seems to lack expression and his eyes look cold.
