They were right to arrest her
It was a pity they could not get a charge to stick, she should serve seriously long jail time for her "potty mouth" and banned from making 911 calls for life - to make an example of her ![]() |

How can you work for the emergency services if you hang up on somebody who needs an ambulance for swearing!? The guy should be sacked. |

Have you ever been on the receiving end of an abusive potty mouth like this girl was?
We are told if people start swearing to hang up, this officer did the right thing. It is a pity that the guy's own boss did not back him up against the potty mouth girl although the fact he has not been fires should speak volumes. The girl should have been prosecuted and convicted of something for being abusive. Control centre staff must be protected from such oiks. |

Sticks, imagine if one of your family was unconscious on the floor, having a fit, you were alone, and the only person who can help on the end of the line is hanging up on you? Are you actually serious that she deserved to be hung up on? Ffs!
He was totally out of line, she's a teenage girl who had no idea what to do! I had to ring 999 once, we were on the boat and we hit some rocks, the engine wouldn't work and we were tipping sideways, I was sh*t scared! I can assure you I swore, I was holding the phone with one hand and the top of the boat with the other, trying to keep it steady and stay in the boat! |

I see it from the receiving end - in an emergency you need clear consise constructions, not swearing, cussing or abusive potty mouths.
I have rung 999 and I never swore, there is no justification for it |

Its not intentional though. When your stressed and panicing you will swear without knowing it; to convey the seriousness of the situation. Its not like she was calling the guy a bastard or anything!
Some people just arnt able to read between the lines. |
