Default Wimbledon

Anyone like a Wimbledon fanatic?Tips for the title?

I'm thinking Federer has the mens game wrapped up,I'd be very surprised to see him lose.

The womens is wide open.I wouldnt rule out either of the Williams,Clijsters,Davenport,Sharapova and there could be some surprises.

What you all think?

Didn't he..I kinda doubted him,but thinking back to the French last year he came back twice from 2 sets down and won.He is always capable of it.

Federer and Henin-Hardenne were my choices, but the Belgian was ousted.

Clijsters, Davenport, Williams (Serena) and Sharapova are the only ones I'd fancy winning.

I like Sharapova, but would be nice to see Clijsters win

I can't stand Sharapova,she's a good player,but I just can't stand the girl.She's easy on the eye though.

I always liked Venus Williams, unfortunately she has faded in the last three years but I would never rule her out.

Sharapova is easy on the eye and a nice girl. Her voice and her celebrating every point with a fist annoys me.

Clijsters and Kuznetsova, far less easy on the eye, but girls I like to see do well.

Mens, Hewitt, Federer or Roddick. If anyone else wins, I'll eat my socks

I know Federer is a class player on grass but I think it's going to be Hewitt's year.

I'm sorry now...but having an unbias view I do think the British public are banking too much on Andy Murray.

There is no doubt he has talent, there is no doubt he can do well. But the more expectations you have of him the more disappointed you will be.I know I am setting myself up for criticism here but it's the same with teh English football team, always expected to do too much, never do as well as you expect.

Fair enough they are a decent squad but the English praise them like gods, lets face it they aren't.Big up patriotism but you need to be humble to b epleased.

It's the exact same as what you have with Henman,so many people expected Henam to win Wimbledon every year and to be honest he hasn't really opulled off anything soectacular in his career...a few slam semi's here and theer but that's it.11 career titles, nowt to brag about, for the amount of time he has been playing.

And now because Henman is quite clearly fading the British public(praise god) have finallyu found another tennis whizz in Andy Murray.Maybe he will conquer 4 GS titles and reach #1 in the world. But it wouldn.t surprise me if he faded into obscurity like Bogdanovic did,Delgado did,Parmer did and that's just to name few.

I do get what your saying, the british public always does look to build up people and I think some people are putting to much onto Murray, he is clearly a very talented youngster and I am behind him all the way, like I am with all the people who represent GB and England.

I never felt Henman had what it took but I do get a different feeling with Andy.

Like I dont mean to sound harsh or be putting anyones hopes down.

But do you think that countries around the world are so excited about Andy Murray...of course no.If you said Andy Murray to anyone they would reply in confusion "Who?"

He isnt world class...not yet anyway.

I find it funny. When a Scot is crap, he's a Scot. When a Scot has potential, he's British

Serena Williams sneaks through. Not playing well though. Just don't want Davenport winning it. She gets on my t*ts.

Serena Williams is nursing a foot injury iisnt she?And woosh for Venus, she still has it..ts a Williams siter clash next round innit?

Congrats to Andy Murray,he played very well, well tbh Stepanek did play exceptionally bad for his standards.
