Housemates, forum members and commentators frequently say housemates are game players. Maybe manufacturing false relationships, taking charge in the kitchen, playing up to the cameras, manipulating other housemates etc. Because the dynamic of the house changes so frequently do game players ever have any success? I don't think it's possible to be a game player and carry the public and possibly the other housemates along for an extended period of time. Is a successful game player an urban myth? I can't think of any phoney housemate winning BB. Admittedly there have been a few oddballs but have there been any out and out game players? I don't think so.

Is the term, "game player" just used as a generic term for someone who is unpopular?

I think that you can't gameplay in BBUK, because you end up unpopular and can never win.

BBUS however is a different story.
