Two More Years For BB UK
C4 sign up until 2007 CHANNEL 4 have signed up Big Brother for another TWO YEARS in a £30million deal. The show’s four-year contract finishes at the end of this series — and there were rumours that it would be dropped. Lucas Church, the boss of show makers Endemol, said: “Channel 4 remains the natural home for this project and we are delighted to be extending our partnership for another two years.” But an insider at the production company said there was a delay in making the deal because C4 bosses got cold feet about another four-year contract. He said: “They have decided to go for just two more years — perhaps because they are worried about how long Big Brother’s shelf life is. “People keep saying reality TV is dying — but we are confident it has a little way to go yet.” * The “reality” phenomenon kicked off in 2000 when Liverpool builder Craig Phillips won the first series. Since then creators Endemol have recruited more and more bizarre contestants — and last year it was won by Portuguese transsexual Nadia Almada.http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2...280293,00.html --------------------------------------------------------- |
