Just saw this on the fan site, www.freddiefisher.co.uk
"Right I thought it was about time I wrote a little bit on my friend, Freddie Touching on what Freddie's dad said - http://newbe.at/mod/groups/topicpost...&group_guid=47 - I think I'd like to start with the dyslexia. Freddie's brain works so differently from everybody else's. This was touched on a bit on BBLB with the psychologist when we did a 'brain surgery'. The point I'd like to make is that the social input Freddie actually receives is significantly more stream-lined than what most of us take in. I think his perception and outlook is then made up by a bout of intensive thinking. Freddie has to extrapolate his social environment from much less input and use his logical thinking to make sense of the world around him. In this vein, he thinks his way through the Big Brother game. I believe this is what is really behind what some detractors label game-planning. Freddie has to rationalise the small bubble that he is stuck in. This also ties in to all the noises Freddie makes - the heavy breathing and sighs. These punctuate his thought process but are also a part of his coping mechanism and you can notice them becoming more profound when Freddie has more to think about or is anxious about something. Outside of the house, eg, Freddie enjoys having lots of hugs. The physical contact makes him happier emotionally. It is in this sense, I think, that Freddie asked Charlie for a hug and put his head on his chest. Anything more that was seen, I imagine, was a function of Freddie trying to gauge Charlie's comfort zone with him. Freddie was in effect trying to figure out how much of a friend Charlie could be to him... I think the same is true of his interaction with Bea, though I think he likes her more than she likes him. It's even beginning to look like she's not as nice a person as Freddie thought. What's going to be confusing for him is her continuing to cuddle him while calling him sleazy behind his back. From his perspective, he thinks they're getting on completely fine because they've got the physical comfort. It'll be a surprise to him when he notices her attempt to undermine him socially with the rest of the housemates. The situation now is quite different from the start of the series. Freddie has emerged as a credible commentator on the 'social dynamics' of the house. This is what interests him intellectually and I believe this is what makes his presence in the house so crucial. It is rather like having a reporter on the inside keen to analyse/rationalise proceedings. This is so useful for us because it allows us a taste of the house that you wouldn't be able to get in the one hour slot otherwise – given the lack of live feed. I met Kris recently for a spot of BBLB filming at Freddie's house and I discussed some of what I've said here with him. He saw what I meant and basically agreed with this. He also added that while he had clashed somewhat with Freddie in the house we did not as an audience get to see the odd one hour conversation where they chatted together quite happily. We did not, for example, see Freddie and Kris discussing Freddie's vision of establishing permaculture and boosting nutrition for children in Shropshire. As a couple of local boys, they agreed that something had to be done and Kris said he's looking forward to working with Freddie in the future and coming to his house for a party once the series is over." I'm not sure I agree with all of that, but I do think most of it's right... |

Does anyone agree that the breathing thing and the physical contact thing really helps to understand Freddie/Bea/sleazy?

So Halfwit wants Ravi to post these excuses for him, is that to gain sympathy and get more people to support him.
I honestly dont think Halfwit wont want to win if its a result of a sympathy vote. |

I see it as a post to counter anybody saying he is game playing. He basically comments on all the points that people have stated indicate Freddie's game playing behaviour by saying it's Freddie's dyslexia causing this. I think it's completely a new low from friends and family to interject and manipulate people. |

A family who openly says their son has severe dyslexia that has given him a huge problem throughout his life to this day and then decides to let him get banged up in a house for a longer period, even after the housemates dislike him and have treated him badly? Ridiculous. Reeks of complete manipulation for the idiot masses. I was beginning to warm to Freddie but this just takes the biscuit. The disgusting manipulation this breeds at the expense and guilt trips on the masses stinks worse than a million Sewage treatment plants. |

I notice when Freddie either gets stressed or does not know what to say in a social situation, he tends to hmmm and awwwws. I now understand why he does it.
Never put me off him though. |

Call me Mr Cynical but I find it a little too coincidental these stories pop up as Halfwits popularity drops. Wouldnt it be funny as Fukk if when he does come out, HW explains how he and Ravi, one night while bladdered in the SU bar came up with this blinding plan to callously manipulate public sympathy for the likeable rich buffoon. A person who under normal circumstances would be out in the first couple of weeks. |

Lol then you really do have conspiracy theory issues. If you were in the facebook fan club you'd see that Ravi promised articles about Freddie when he put a fan site up. One from Freddie's dad came up first ages ago then Ravi wrote another one and I wouldn't be surprised if there were more to come!
That said, I see what you mean about the timing. Still I suppose it's a crime for a best friend to try and defend a best friend. That must really stink for a guy to do that for his friend when he needs it. I hope for your sake your friends don't try and do the same thing for you |

Ultimately the credibility of all this fails in the our child is troubled in social situations and then they place him in the most tortuous social setup that TV could offer. It's a lie. |

Gosh...now that is a bit of great 'bi-thinking' Shasown. Its certain that Ravi does not come any where near into slotting into your first statement. The original piece by Ravi was written on an exclusive fan site for Freddie Fisher. It was for the information of the members who support Freddie wholeheartedly and certainly dont need any of the aspects you suggest in your first statement. What ever next? It is very naughty of you to suggest otherwise Shasown. |

The first place you go to manipulate people is where they are most gullible - as fans. If you're a fan, you're the most easy to manipulate because you already have a vested interest in terms of support. Be it pride or the character representing something you feel strongly about - all usually imagined since we all have different views on events. They don't want people to think otherwise of Freddie but personally - if they really think Freddie has a hard time and has struggled throughout life and is showing those signs in the house up until this day, if they care a squat about him, they should remove him - which they should have done weeks earlier, IF all this is true. |

I think I know what Ravi means, I believe it for the most part, mainly because MY OWN MIND works in the same way. I have AD/HD and it is in the same realm as Dyslexia (as well as types of Autism). All of these "disorders" (?) often have Communication Issues as one of the symptoms, and understanding non-verbal communication is one of the main problems.
I am very analytical of others' motives myself and don't always understand verbal cues or someone's facial expressions at first. I am ALWAYS wondering what people are thinking and don't often work it out by the normal cues alone. I can see that for Freddie, HUGGING someone is a very SURE WAY for him to understand how someone feels about him, as the other cues don't always make enough sense to him! He needs the physical proof of feelings, and/or needs to talk to other people to work out what "messages" are being sent by words and facial expressions. "Normal" people are fine with just words and facial expressions, they don't confuse most people. So if someone is saying that Freddie has communication issues, I can 100% believe it. And I admire Freddie even more, now that I understand his issues and can relate to how he must feel in there! |
