People don't like Marcus of because who he is, not what he does. Just because he isn't the most attractive and he has be known to have smelly breath.

Here is a prime example:

Marcus liked Noirin. Noirin didn't like Marcus. Noirin got with Siavash. Marcus got annoyed. Everyone tells Marcus to 'get a grip'

Say... Halfwit likes Bea. Bea doesn't like Halfwit. Bea gets with Marcus. Halfwit gets annoyed. No one would tell Halfwit to get a grip and everyone would be like 'How could Marcus and Bea do that to Halfwit, get them out!!!!'

And you Marcus haters can't deny it.
