I was thinking about the previous winners of Big Brother, and I wondering if everyone thinks that winning is always the best thing.
What I mean is: Craig won Big Brother 1 and has done quite well out of it, but probably no better really than Anna, who was the runner up, and who if anything is now remembered more than Craig. Brian won Big Brother 2, and did get a fair bit of work afterwards, but Helen, who was runner up, has probably done equally as well, and I would say that she is one of the most popular housemates of any series. (I'm not knocking Craig or Brian by the way, I thought they both seemed great, although I didn't watch a whole lot of BB1 or BB2). Kate won Big Brother 3 and seemed to do well at first, and still pops up periodically, but I don't think there's any denying that, in financial terms and in terms of getting the most publicity post-show, Jade has done better - and she wasn't even the runner up! Cameron ( ![]() Nadia has had a lot of mileage out of winning BB5, sure and still gets a lot of publicity out of it, but I have an inkling that the person who has done best financially could well be Michelle, who was another one who narrowly missed out on getting into the final week. What do you guys all think? I wonder what's in store for the winner and runners up of BB6? |

It's always good to win really isn't it!Maybe sometimes it's better to not win.It all seems to be over quite quickly for the winner whereas with some of the losers they stay in the spotlight for a bit longer.
It's an interestin question isn't it?!Like I don't think anyone would have predicted Jade outshining anyone from BB3.And Cameron, well that speaks for itself,he's erm...gone.Ray is quite popualr here in Ireland,he is a reporter on a Dublin radio station and he does quite frequently pop up on TV. |

Though I think most people remember who came second, and know who was first in the series, but third more difficult to remember.
BB1 - Darren BB2 - Dean BB3 - Alex (I think - told you cant remember below 2) BB4 - Scott BB5 - Dan |

I think it's a good thing winning but only for the prize money at the end. |

yeah like Jade and Kate won and same with Michelle and Nadia won I think it depends on the poplarity and the agents of the housemate

It also depends on how much they want the limelight. The housemates who have made the most money are not necessarily the most popular. For instance, Jade has put making as much money as possible before everything else in her life does that make her one of the best housemates ever - I for one feel that if I see Jade in a magazine or on a tv programme make a fast run in the other direction. This showed up by the fact that Brian won the recent housemate vote - that man has concentrated on building up a media career rather than be famous for being available for every reality tv show going. Remember fame is fickle, happiness is not.
