I put a pillowcase over the fan, and the error seems to have disappeared!

I did a similar thing once for an RROD. I wrapped it up in a few blankets and turned it on for half an hour. It worked afterwoods because I overheated it and it had to reset itself. I'm assuming the pillow case was from the same principle.
Glad you sorted it out though, I've never heard of an E73 error before. |

Yeah, a pillowcase is probs better than a towel lol it allows it to breathe a little
