Default Why?

The whole point of Big Brother is to entertain the audience yes? So why was Eugene put in? I just don't get it he is not funny or interesting and provides no entertainment.

This was Big Bro's perfect oppurtunity to add a bit more spice to the equation and make it have a bit more humour (not just team Saskia) and maybe fewer arguaments.

Does anyone find Eugene entertaining? If so please explain to me why?

Derek is not interesting either, but take a look at how popular he is. Big Brother is not just about being entertaining, it's about seeing how different personalities interact with each other.

The whole point of Big Brother is to put as many different personalities into a house as possible.Eugene is a self confessesd geek.Their is a lot of unintentional humour in him being there.Watching the horror on a victims face as he launches into another long winded story.
I don't agree that any of the HM's think they should be there to 'entertain' us,they should just be and we'll decide what is entertaining.
Also,your footnote has confused me.

Yes I suppose but I was watching live yesterday and he was having a conversation and my God I actually believe watching paint dry would have been better. Im not joking if there had of been a choice of watching paint dry or that conversation I would have chosen the paint

Different people are entertained by different things.

I laughed and laughed the other night when Eugene told his "hilarious" anecdote about being on the first aid course. He entertains me, although I'm laughing at him rather than with him.

On the other hand, unlike a lot of people on here, I didn't like Team Saskia's idea of humour, which seemed to be making fun of people. Craigs impression of Eugene in the diary room was not entertainment. It was nasty and spiteful, and not all that funny. And why put his hands to his eyes like glasses when he did it, cos Eugene doesn't wear glasses! (not that I've seen anyway)

I think that Big Brother cannot be full of 12 overthe top entertaining people,it just wouldn't work.Cn you imagine 12 Jades in there?

It is all about how 12 very different people react to each other and how they get on,and that's what we love to watch.

Eugene may be entertaining to some, not to me really, but some people might like him.He isn't too much and is easy to watch I suppose,I would have preffered Kinga to enter.

the original format of big brother was to see lots of different types of people, and see how they cope in a house with people with different characteristics

eugene provides that slight angle that none of the others do

Give the lad time to shine - he seems like the kind of person that ends up being funny without even realising it

The problem with Big Brother is the same problem people have when they are interviewing someone for a job! Although they may sound good at the interviews they don't come up with the goods in the job/house! If you get what I'm saying!

Got you Amy and that is so true look at Sam, a lovely girl in the wrong house.

And I think Eugene might have been picked deliberately by big brother to go into the garden knowing one garden gnome wouldn't be going into the house. I think they were hoping he would be the one to go.... allowing two girls to enter the house.
