Default How long do you THINK Big Brother will last for ???

I think about 7 years, if not then 6.

To be honest, in its current format, I think when the contract has been honoured (next year?) that will be it. I sense a loss of interest in it from producers, C4, some of the media, and definitely (and crucially) the advertisers.

Last year will be its last, I am quite certain of that. Unless they revamp the style of the show.

1 more next year then time to call it a day. I wouldn't be against it going to Sky and adopting USA rules but don't flog the dead horse in its current format any longer. It lost its spark a long time ago

1 year as hardly anyone will watch next year because people's favourites are starting to go before genuine trash.

It was well and truly lost after BB7

BB9 was a very good series but still pales in comparison to 3, 5 6 and 7, and this year is OK. It isn't just the show for me, its the feeling around it, people talking about it etc that makes the BB experience and pretty much makes a series. Noone cares this year and its almost an embarrassment to watch

Who still cares away from forums like this? The ratings are shocking (something like 2m watching), there is nothing in the papers and noone is talking about it

If next year is exactly the same as this and they don't do something to raise ratings (LF and DR Uncut) then I really cannot see the contract being extended.

Next year will be the last.

If someone else buys the rights, and brings it back with a fresh new format in 2/3 years time, then it could perhaps enjoy revived success but unless that happens, it's finished after BB11 I'm afraid.

No need to start insulting people.

And the papers are NOT interested at all. The Daily Star is meant to be the official BB paper, and all they have every day now a 1/3 of a page with the tree of popularity. That's it.

And the viewing figures compared with recent years speaks volumes.

We here on the forum are amongst the minority of the GBP who actually give a **** anymore.

Sad but true.

I can't remember when it was, when E4 was around, they stuck the live feed on there daily, it was well cool. You knew what was going on. If they bring back the Live Feed during the day, think of some better housemates, give them more alcohol and improve the tasks then ratings will be much higher. I miss Live Feed during the day, it's what makes BB.

Anyway if your wondering about the alcohol, the alcohol is when the fun, flirting and arguments start.

I'll open my eyes if you give me sufficient evidence to show people are interested in BB10. The fact that ratings are at an all time low by a significant margin (its lost a third of last years viewers) and the fact that the tabloids don't write that many stories about it anymore speaks volumes. There was a time when 4m was seen as a rubbish rating, now they probably won't even get that many people watching this years final. The online newspapers still have stories from days ago on the first page, if it was 2005 or 2006 we'd have stories from earlier today spilling on to page 2.

It's majorly disappointing the lack of popularity BB has been recieving recently It's been the highlight of my summer every single year, I could watch it for the rest of my life. But the way it's going, with everyone giving up on it, it hasn't got much longer left sadly.

My elder brother introduced me to the show back in 2005, and now he just thinks it's crap. That shows how nobody cares for it anymore. I do though! And I'd be very happy to watch it another 10+ years!
