Default Marcus was spot on during LF, yet he\'s still Bea\'s friend?

He knows what she's like. The public knows what she's like. Marcus rightly and articulately called her on it. Yet Marcus was still seeing himself as her 'friend' (at least at the time of the argument).

So perhaps he's not such a good judge of character that he'd still want to be mates with her after seeing what she's done over last few days? Or he's not being as genuine as some think...?

I like Marcus, but he's not the saint he's suddenly 'become', and has plenty of gameplans up his sleeve - of course he wants to win! Otherwise he wouldn't be going on about being the 'dark horse' throughout the whole series.....

He does that a lot. If you remember all the way back when he ripped into Lisa (and she went "la la la la la la la la") in front of the whole group, he then did a toe-curlingly cringey climbdown where he went around everyone in the bedroom telling them how much he liked them.

what are you talking about?
She came back out and he did the whole "I really like you, but..." thing, topped off with the "I'm just trying to help you..." thing, with "I'm only saying this because I care..." for dessert.

Hi eggdavid - please try to read the post first before jumping...I didn't say 'made friends with her' - said he 'was her friend' at least at the time of the argument - he said/implied this to her directly and said 'this is why I'm telling you these things' - he also apologised to her at one stage afterwards...

I like him, but he has done loads of slippery, snidey stuff throughout the series.....

so then he's scared of her? He looked a bit scared when she really started crying (I would be, she's a scary woman!)...he may not want to be her friend, but he was telling her he was her friend...that's my point - not exactly really 'telling it like it is then' as he claims?

As we are not in the house ourselves and I can only imagine how intense it must be in there. Marcus can see through Bea and tell her what he thinks of her, but it also might be easier to keep appeasement and to try to be friends whilst still knowing her game plane. It doen't mean that he really sees her as a friend. so he not being double standard. just trying to keep the peace.

eggdavid - I do like him, but it occurred to me there are some inconsistencies in his arguments/behaviours...I'd rather you argued the points, rather than tell me what I'm thinking

thanks

Bea voted for Marcus. I don't think Marcus needs to do any explaining. Bea does.
He told Bea in a friendly way what he thought, because she's sharp enough to know she'd start howling like a banshee and do her usual passive agressive crap. She did all of this, but because Marcus was passive with what he said, she can't say he was an agressor in anyway, no matter how she tries to twist it.

Lots of people didn't watch until 7am this morning. Freddie got back up and had a conversation with Marcus who basically stated she's been rumbled and doesn't like it.

It was pretty apparent that Marcus doesn't like the way she is, but that doesn't mean to say he ripped her because he hates her. He was stating truth to someone who needs to get it through thier thick skull that they are ruining thier own life.

Remember, Marcus always says that it's a game and people are different in the house possibly just thier personality magnified.

Yes Bea is vile and we can see it, but until anyone leaves the house, no one will be able to predict the exact nature of housemates.

We don't believe what some people stand for and we stick to those values. Some of us condone or shun chauvanism, bullying, nastiness and greed to a certain extent btu we all have faults.

I disagree and do not support the housemates that break most of those values in entireity, but I don't actually hate them.

Think before we pull apart people and make sure your comments about them have fact. But go for it if you absolutely must.

Still... Marcus FTW!
