I\'m in total shock! {update} - really sad.
In July, I posted a thread in which I said my mum's cousin Shirley had cancer and was dying - and the doctors gave her only a few weeks to live.
Well, exactly a week ago today she died and today was her funeral. It's been honestly one of the saddest days of my life. She is leaving behind two children, Rachel (17) and Ross (14) and she was only 44. About 150 people turned up but it was still so intimate and the priest was great. I cried so much during the funeral (more because i felt so sorry for her children and admired their bravery).. there were some really heartwarming speeches and she was such a great person. When the coffin was lowered and the curtains were closed her daughter Rachel just burst into tears and starting sobbing, that made me cry even more. Ross just kept his head down during the whole service, crying. I can't imagine what they must be feeling.
R.I.P Shirley, you will never be forgotten.
and I also posted that my auntie Doreen had swine flu.
Well, she has now recovered so that ends that :|
Anyway, just thought I would post this because you were all really supportive when I told you guys about them.
