Brentford boy Marcus Akin was kept in the Big Brother house last night – despite begging to be given the BB boot.
Posh toff Freddie was kicked out of the house with a tight 53 per cent of the public vote – leaving Marcus, who calls himself the "irrepressible dark horse" looking unimpressed. The Hounslow and Brentford Times exclusively revealed the hairy troublemaker’s pals were not appealing for their friend to stay after catching him looking bored and frustrated. When Freddie, who appeared last night with a large purple fox on his face, waltzed out of the house, and told crowds: “I love you, you’re amazing.” But our reporters who were sent with guest list tickets to last night's eviction did not manage to catch wannabee MP Freddie’s interview or even speak to manic Marcus fans as we were the latest to incur BB’s wrath. In true bad boy Brentford behaviour we were 10 minutes late to get in – a full three hours before the eviction even kicked off. Left out in the cold by burly security guards we were definitely afraid we were going to be given the boot by our boss. But we were not alone, security guards told us this had been the most packed eviction show yet and some tearful fans were begging to be let through the steel barriers, near a massive Tesco store in Elstree. Teenager Hannah Beckford, 19, travelled nine hours from the Lake District to get a glimpse of the BB house but was told she couldn’t come in. She said: “We got free tickets so though we would come, it has taken us nine hours and we are gutted we didn’t get in. We have never been to London before so it was a scary trip. “My mum wanted us back by tomorrow so we have to go home soon. All we are going to do now is get drunk in Yates’." Marcus fan Jaime Dallenger, 20, said she wanted to catch a glimpse of the mullet-loving Brentford boy as he left the house but was left reeling when security guards told her the audience was full. She said: “I really love Marcus, he is brilliant, what entertainment. These BB security guards are terrible, not letting us in.” We spoke to a bookmaker who was turned away for being late who just wanted to see who booed who in the audience to try and scoop better odds. The bookie, who didn’t want to be named and shamed, tried to get us in but even he was told to back off. Slinking off home we were sure the Brentford hero would be given the boot, but in a shock move the public saved him. We'll make sure our bad behaviour does not keep us from interviewing Brentford’s biggest celebrity next time - and hopefully we can take some of his biggest fans with us. |
